What is the Power Walk and Talk?

This group combines the best of Parkinson's Power Hour and Talk Your Walk into an exciting group exercise program. Improve your strength, endurance, and brain health while walking in the fresh air and engaging in fun, guided conversations.

Every week, we meet for about 30-45 minutes of interval training which involves stretching and movement exercises. This is followed by a walk around the park in small groups to discuss the topic of the week.

Research Shows that dual-task training can reduce fall risk by up to 50%! Stay active, independent, and engaged in a program designed just for you.

Why should I participate?

  • PWR! Moves for Strength and Mobility

    • Improve strength, flexibility, and coordination with exercises backed by research.

  • Talk your walk

    • Enhance balance, posture, and mental sharpness through self-paced walking, dual-task activities, and mindful movement in a supportive outdoor setting.

  • Education and Community Support

    • Connect with others, share resources, and build friendships in a welcoming setting.

Schedule and Location

  • When: weekly on Wednesdays from 2:15 pm-3:50 pm

  • Program Duration: until October 31st 2026
